- An is an aquatic ecologist with over 20 years’ experience working on different aspects of fish ecology and infrastructure development impacts in the Mekong region. His research is focused on informing the management and conservation of large river systems, and he has specialist expertise in examining fish migrations using otolith chemistry. Before joining the IFRG, An worked as a fisheries researcher at the Fisheries Ecology and Aquatic Resources Division within the Research Institute for Aquaculture No2 in Vietnam.
